Beijing sunrise Oriental Kempinski Hotel
Date:2020-12-14 09:40:00 Share:
Beijing sunrise Oriental Kempinski Hotel is the official venue of the 2014 APEC meeting. In addition to the nearby Yanqi Hotel and 12 Boutique Villas, the complex covers an area of 14 square kilometers, with 595 guest rooms and Suites, a grand banquet hall for 1400 people, and 14 restaurants and bars.

Zhang Haiao, chief designer of sunrise Oriental architectural design and from Shanghai Huadu architectural planning and Design Co., Ltd., said: "there is a great beauty in heaven and earth. Yanqi lake at the foot of Yanshan mountain is a blend of mountains and rivers. The Great Wall looms in the north. It is nestled in the green fields in the south. There are flocks of wild geese to live in the lake every spring and autumn. If we simply design a tall and straight modern building in such a natural place, the perfection of the scenery will be destroyed; however, the Chinese style courtyard with white walls and black tiles and small bridges and flowing water makes people feel that it lacks the brilliance of the times. Finally, we chose to interpret the integration of architecture and environment with the poetic picture of sunrise in the East. "

Sunrise Oriental Kempinski Hotel is completely completed by Chinese local design company. It is also known as a "breathing" Technology Hotel due to its environmental protection technology.

From the side, the hotel building is the shape of scallops. Scallops represent wealth in Chinese culture. With the circular "rising sun" on the front of the hotel building, it also represents the vigorous development of China. If viewed from the air, the podium of the hotel looks like "auspicious clouds", which also represents the romantic implication of "colorful clouds chasing the sun" in Chinese culture.

In addition, the fish mouth shape is designed in front of and behind the hotel.

More than 10000 pieces of glass are used in the glass wall of the hotel, covering an area of 18075 square meters. These glasses are not ordinary materials, but environmental protection and energy-saving Low-E glass. Sunrise Oriental is also the only hotel in the mainland that uses four layers of Low-E glass.
