China Pavilion is an important landmark building of Beijing World Horticultural Exposition. It will be the concentrated exhibition area of Chinese horticulture. It is designed as a semi-circular structure and looks like China.
Ancient palaces are like cottages and farmhouses. The main exhibition hall is covered under the terraces, and the golden roof on the terraces is covered with colorful flowers. The whole building design covers an area of 4.8 hectares, with a total construction area of 23000 square meters, with two floors above the ground and one floor under the ground, with the highest height of 36 meters. The design and construction concept of China Pavilion imitates the ancient wisdom of "nest dwelling" of Youchao family, which not only shows the respect of modern society to the nest civilization, but also shows the positive influence of the era of Youchao on the development of Chinese civilization.
The roof of the China Pavilion is in the shape of Ruyi. In order to build a roof like the moon, various steel structure components are used in the construction, including 132 main truss beams, 5400 small cross bars, 2184 pull rods and 696 horizontal supporting rods. The longest girder is 32 meters and the weight is 7 tons.
