Never use tile glue like this again! The cost of repair can't afford

Recently saw such a news, a decoration master wanted to save money for the owner, suggested mixing cement in tile glue, increasing the weight of materials to paste more bricks. However, after a short time, the tiles fell off in a large area, and the two sides could not dispute who was responsible for the loss. Some experienced tile workers may have roared: tile glue can not be mixed with cement! But why is that?
Ceramic tile adhesive production process is composed of five parts: Calculation of proportion, weighing, mixing, processing and ceramic tile adhesive packaging. Each link has an important impact on the performance of ceramic tile adhesive products. Ceramic tile adhesive itself contains a proper amount of cement composition. It is scientifically prepared on the basis of cement by adding various additives to enhance adhesion and flexibility.
The proportion of various ingredients in the product is the most important. The formula of ceramic tile adhesive is constantly improved through years of experiment and practice. More or less points will affect the effect of tiling. Therefore, when using ceramic tile adhesive, strictly follow the packaging instructions and do not add any additives at will.
Myth 1: tile glue is glue
Just listen to the name - tile glue, maybe many people think it's cement plus glue. In fact, tile glue is not glue, its main component is still cement. It is made of high-quality cement, graded quartz sand and a variety of polymers. It is a safe and environmental protection product, free of formaldehyde, benzene and other harmful substances.
Error 2: mixing cement and mortar into tile adhesive
Like the case mentioned above, mixing cement in tile glue seems to increase the weight of materials, which is cheap, but in fact, it will cause great loss.
The reason is that the ceramic tile adhesive adheres to the ceramic tile firmly by the intermolecular force produced by the special additives in the product. Random addition of cement will change the formula of the product, reduce the adhesion and cannot guarantee the quality of the product.
Mistake 3: the area of one-time rubber scraper is too large
Outdoor dry, windy weather, too much scraping area of the cloth glue batch, too late for construction, which will cause the surface dry and then tiling will cause brick dropping;
Use toothed scraper to scrape the mortar evenly on the working surface. Each time, the construction area is about 1 square meter. The wall surface should be wetted in advance in the outdoor dry climate.
Error 4: too long time, mix and reuse with new glue
Some masters will mix the tile glue left last night with clear water and tile glue powder in the next morning. In fact, the effective ingredients of tile glue have chemical reaction. Adding water only changes the operation performance, which will lead to insufficient bond strength in the later stage. The tile glue shall be mixed and used at any time, and the use time shall be controlled within 2 hours, and it shall be discarded after being dried and fixed.
Error 5: tile pasting without leveling
Because of the low strength of the base course and the greasy dirt, it will directly affect the adhesive force of the ceramic tile adhesive, resulting in hollowing out of the brick; the wall surface is not solid, and the base surface is easy to fall off. The wall surface is not flat, and the defects are too large to lead to the contact between the ceramic tile and the wall surface is not in place, which is easy to cause hollowing.
Mistake 6: caulking with tile glue
Ceramic tile adhesive and joint sealer are all auxiliary materials of building materials, but ceramic tile adhesive can only be used to paste the back of ceramic tile. If you use tile glue to fill the joints, it just blocks the contraction joints of the floor tiles, causing the floor tiles to heat up and arch up, which is easy to empty and fall off.
Said so many misunderstandings, believed that everybody already understood very well, therefore fills the seam to want to use the specialized ceramic tile glue or the caulking agent, this is the ceramic tile correct opening way!
