Some common mistakes in the process of using stone protective agent (1)

In recent years, with the continuous expansion of the stone market, stone protection is also getting more and more attention. Now, most stone products in the factory before, will use stone protective agent to do some protective measures. A large number of protection needs, also gave birth to a new industry stone protection industry.

In recent years, there are more and more stone protectants. So, what common mistakes exist in the process of using stone protective agent?

1. Mistaking waterproof agent for antifouling agent

Some people often confuse waterproof agent with antifouling agent, and think that waterproof agent also has antifouling function. In fact, such a view is wrong. The role of waterproof agent is waterproof. After the waterproof agent is applied on the surface of stone, it can not be invaded by water, so as to prevent water from seeping into the interior of stone to produce water spots. At present, most of the waterproof agent products do not have antifouling performance, and a few of them have certain antifouling performance, but they can not be compared with the antifouling performance of antifouling agent. If no antifouling treatment is carried out, the pollutants can easily enter the stone surface and produce various erosion spots.

However, some good antifouling agents have dual functions of waterproof and antifouling. Therefore, antifouling agent should be selected as much as possible in the process of stone protection.

It should be noted that antifouling agents can not prevent all pollutants from eroding. For some common corrosive liquids, such as vinegar and carbonated drinks, antifouling agents may not be effective.

2. Mistakenly think that if you brush the waterproof agent, you will not be afraid of water

Some people think that after the stone brush waterproof agent, they are no longer afraid of water erosion, even if it is long-term immersion in water is no problem. In fact, such a view is also wrong. Whether it is domestic water, domestic sewage, common liquid or natural rainwater, the water may contain various chemical substances and mineral elements. Some chemical substances and mineral elements may react with the waterproof agent, which makes the protection of the waterproof agent ineffective, resulting in the liquid seeping into the interior of the stone to produce water spots.

Therefore, in the use of stone, when you see the liquid staying on the stone surface, it is better to remove it in time, so as to ensure that the stone will not be damaged by water.

3. Mistakenly think that if you brush antifouling agent, you will not be afraid of contamination

Similar to the logic of some people who think that stone will no longer be afraid of water erosion after being brushed with waterproof agent, others think that as long as stone is brushed with antifouling agent, it will no longer be afraid of the erosion of pollutants. In fact, this view is also wrong. If the pollutants adhere to the stone surface for a short time, the stone surface will not leave any traces of pollution after timely cleaning. However, if the pollutants adhere to the stone surface for a long time, the stone surface may still be gradually eroded by the pollutants, resulting in various erosion spots.

Therefore, once the contamination is found on the stone surface, it should be removed immediately.
