Steel glue seems to be a simple steel bonding, but to achieve the desired effect, or need to be quite careful, so what is the use of steel glue?
 
1. Bonding treatment
 
1.1. The plastering layer, oil dirt and dirt on the concrete surface shall be chiseled off, and then the 1-2mm thick surface layer of the concrete surface shall be removed by angle grinder. After grinding, the floating dust shall be blown with compressed air, and then the surface shall be cleaned with cotton cloth dipped in acetone to keep it dry for standby. The larger pits shall be repaired and leveled with structural adhesive bonded with steel.
 
1.2. The bonding surface of steel plate shall be degreased first, and then roughened with angle grinder until metal luster appears after grinding, and then wipe the surface with dry cotton cloth to keep it dry and standby.
 
1.3. The main instruments used in the use of gluing steel glue: angle grinder, diamond grinding disc, grinding wheel blade, air compressor, cotton cloth, goggles and dust mask.
 
2. Pressure fixing and unloading system preparation
 
2.1. The live load borne by components, such as personnel and office equipment, should be removed temporarily, and the temporary construction load should be reduced as much as possible.
 
2.2. The system composed of Jack, base plate and ejector rod should be used for pressure fixation. The system can not only fix the steel plate, but also remove part of the dead load borne by the component, reduce the stress lag, and is more conducive to the collaborative stress of the post bonded steel plate and the original component, and the reinforcement effect is good.
 
2.3. The system composed of bolts, angle steel and base plate can also be used for pressure fixing. The system can drill holes at appropriate positions on the reinforced components to temporarily fix bolts and angle steel for the use of steel plate.
 
2.4. It can also drill holes on the steel plate, stick steel glue and anchor the screw rod with glue. After tightening the nut, it will produce composite anchoring force on the steel plate, which has better effect and is more suitable for sticking side steel plate.
 
2.5 in the actual construction, the above methods are often combined.
3. Preparation of steel adhesive
 
3.1. Steel glue is composed of two components a and B. It is recommended to use mechanical mixing according to the mixing proportion. The agitator can be composed of an electric hammer and a mixing tooth. The mixing tooth can be made of a cross shaped Φ 14 steel bar welded at the end of the electric hammer bit. A small amount (less than 0.5kg) can also be manually mixed with Φ 6 and Φ 8 steel bars. (Note: mixing with greasy knife alone cannot guarantee even mixing).
 
3.2. Take the clean container (plastic or metal basin, no oil, water, impurities) and the weighing instrument to mix according to the mix proportion, and stir with the stirrer for about 5 minutes until components a and B are mixed evenly. When mixing, it is better to stir along the same direction to avoid air bubbles. Each time the amount of glue should not be too much, ready to use.
 
3.3. The main instruments used in the use of gluing steel glue: mixer, container, weighing instrument and gloves.
 
4. Gluing and pasting
 
4.1. After the adhesive is prepared, smear it on the surface of the treated steel plate (or concrete surface) with greasy knife. The glue section should be slightly triangular, with the middle thickness of about 3 mm and the edge thickness of about 1 mm. Then, the steel plate is pasted on the component, and is temporarily fixed with the prepared fixed pressure system, and the pressure is properly applied, with the glue liquid just extruding from the steel plate edge.
 
4.2. Adhesive steel glue has high thixotropy and anti sagging, but uneven pressure may still cause local slight flow. Therefore, pay attention to inspection within 1 hour after sticking, and timely supplement in case of lack of glue.
 
4.3. The main tools used in the use of steel glue: pressure fixing and unloading system, greasy knife and gloves.
 
5. Curing and unloading pressure fixing system
 
5.1. The structural adhesive bonded with steel can be cured well at room temperature and low temperature.
 
5.2. If the curing temperature is about 25 ℃, the pressurized fixation system can be removed in 24 hours and put into use in 72 hours.
 
5.3. If the curing temperature is about 5 ℃, the pressurized fixation system can be removed in 48 hours and put into use in 96 hours.
 
6. Inspection
 
6.1. During the inspection, the steel plate can be pasted with a small hammer to judge the bonding effect from the sound, or the ultrasonic instrument can be used to detect. If the effective bonding area of anchorage zone is less than 90% and that of non anchorage zone is less than 70%, the steel plate shall be stripped and pasted again.
 
6.2. Load detection can also be used for important components. Generally, the standard value of normal load is applied by step loading. The test results are intuitive and reliable, but the cost is high. Need jack or counterweight (commonly used sandbag, brick), dial indicator, crack microscope, etc.
 

7. Maintenance
 
After being pasted for 3 days, the steel plate should be plastered with M15 cement mortar with a thickness of 20 mm, or 3 layers of antirust paint.
