Causes of swelling and cracking of silicone sealant (1)

The main causes of bulging are as follows:
(1) Large temperature difference. The thermal expansion and cold contraction of the interface cause the plate displacement to slip regularly, which is easy to occur in the aluminum-plastic panel curtain wall. Aluminum plastic plate is a material with large coefficient of linear expansion, especially in northern spring and autumn, the temperature difference between day and night is large, which makes the UN vulcanized silica gel wrinkle and form an edge pattern under tension and compression, resulting in uneven surface of sealant.
(2) The influence of wind. Most of our country is located in the monsoon area. Due to the wind load, the high-rise buildings appear rocking vibration phenomenon. If the sealant on the interface is not fully vulcanized, it will be uneven with the plate extrusion, showing regular bulging.
