"Eight impossibilities" in tile adhesive construction (I)
Date:2020-06-02 09:30:00 Share:
Tiling is a technical work. The tiling technique of the construction master is directly related to whether the tiles will appear hollowing and falling off in the later stage. The appearance of tile glue gradually replaced cement mortar, but tile glue can not be used at will. Today, Xiaobian will talk with you about the construction of tile adhesive.

1. No thick paste

Traditional tiling methods are generally thick tiling, that is to say, cement mortar is used as binder, and the thickness of tiling layer is 15mm-20mm. Because most of cement mortar is rigid mortar, without modified polymer and without flexibility, if there is base surface cracking or base material moving, it will lead to bonding failure, and then lead to hollowing and falling off of tiles.

In contrast to the thick paste method, the material used in the thin paste method is ceramic tile adhesive. During the operation, the adhesive is applied on the working surface from the bottom to the top with a tooth scraper to make it evenly distributed and form a uniform stripe shape. The height of one brick is moved up one by one. The thickness of the thin layer is only 2-6mm, but the bond strength is 3-4 times of the traditional mortar.

Of course, the premise is that tile glue and tile match, so when you buy tile glue, you must communicate with it. How big your tile is, what kind of tile it is made of and where it is pasted are all related to the choice of tile glue. The tile glue used in different places is different.
